Injury Disclaimer

At Southside Pickleball Inc. (Spinc), we’re passionate about creating a fun, social, and supportive environment for everyone to enjoy the game of pickleball. However, as with any physical activity, participation carries certain risks.
By participating in any Spinc activity, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk

Pickleball is a physical sport involving movement, agility, and equipment use. While Spinc promotes safe play, there is an inherent risk of injury, including (but not limited to):

Sprains, strains, or joint injuries

Falls or collisions

Fractures or bruises

Overexertion or medical episodes

By attending any session, you accept full responsibility for your health and safety, and participate at your own risk.

Private Insurance Recommendation

Spinc strongly recommends that all participants hold their own private health, accident, or sports insurance that covers recreational activities such as pickleball.
As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation, Spinc does not provide personal injury insurance for players. Each individual is responsible for ensuring adequate coverage in the event of injury, medical treatment, or loss of income.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Southside Pickleball Inc (Spinc), its committee members, volunteers, and partner venues are not liable for:

Personal injuries sustained during Spinc activities

Loss or damage to personal belongings

Incidents arising from the actions of other participants

Spinc provides paddles and balls for member use, which are maintained to a reasonable standard. However, players use all equipment at their own risk and are expected to inspect items before use.

Emergency Situations

First aid may be provided by fellow participants or volunteers (if available).

Your nominated emergency contact may be called.

You give permission for us to seek further medical assistance if required.

Your Consent

By attending Spinc sessions or events, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks involved and agree to this disclaimer in full.
